Job description
Learning the company products
- Learn the functionality of in-house product applications.
- Understand internal processes, systems and workflows.
- Build awareness of the software development lifecycle and how QA supports this.
Testing product applications for defects and inconsistencies
- Accurately record defects with clear reproduction steps, prioritisation, and supporting evidence.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans to ensure thorough coverage.
- Prepare and manage test data across test environments.
- Collaborate with senior QA team member when investigating or escalating critical defects.
Work with Product Team
- Review requirements and designs to support early validation and clarify expectations.
- Ensure all planned tests are completed and documented before sign-off.
Liaise with Engineering Teams
- Discuss defects, priorities, and potential impacts.
- Participate in witnessed testing with engineers when manual testing cannot be performed independently.
Environmental Awareness
- Promote sustainable practices to minimise the company's carbon footprint and waste.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertaking any other duties that may reasonably be required to support the team and wider business objectives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Visual Studio?, We're looking for a motivated Junior QA Technician to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software by carrying out testing and clearly reporting issues, while developing their skills alongside experienced QA, Product and Engineering colleagues., Proficient in MS Office
- Confidently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and related tools to support daily tasks and workflows.

Desirable skills
Use of Web, Mobile, and Desktop Applications
- Comfortably navigate and use a wide range of web browsers and applications across mobile and desktop platforms.
Azure DevOps
- Work with work items and test plans to support testing activities and track progress.
Microsoft SQL Server
- Write simple queries to explore data, check relationships, and support investigation work.
Visual studio for investigating defects locally
- Use Visual Studio to run tests and inspect local changes before deployment.
Understanding of Agile Methodology
- Hold a basic understanding of Agile principles.
Use of AI Tools
- Use AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance QA work, including creating documentation, generating test plans, and supporting ongoing learning and development.
