Requirements

Do you have experience in XML?, Drive the adoption of BI, reporting and analytics strategies across the Group while leading a modern data approach that ensures information is accurate, secure, usable and accessible. You will build and evolve Microsoft Fabric datasets and deliver insightful reporting through Power BI, establishing an Analytics Centres of Excellence and partnering with leaders to enhance decision-making. The role involves supporting and enhancing ETL pipelines, middleware integrations and B2B connectivity, as well as providing SQL, database and reporting support to the business. You will develop KPI dashboards, reporting packs and analytical specifications, rationalise reporting tools to reduce complexity and preparation time, and contribute to data governance, archiving policies and the structure of master data. Additionally, you will drive the development of AI-led analytics workflows and prompt strategies to modernise and elevate the Group's BI capability.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong Microsoft BI experience: Power BI, DAX, Fabric, Dataverse
  • Skilled in SQL, database design, performance tuning, and RDBMS fundamentals
  • Experienced delivering enterprise BI, reporting and data warehouse solutions
  • Proficient in ETL, APIs, XML/JSON/CSV integrations and middleware interfaces
  • Ability to work with financial and non-financial data to produce meaningful insights
  • Experience establishing BI or Analytics Centres of Excellence
  • Hands-on with data modelling, measures, calculations and on-screen formatting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills-capable of working with senior leaders
  • Able to work independently, prioritise multiple projects and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Experience with tools such as SQL Server (SSRS), ODBC connectivity, Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, lookups), SharePoint at database level

Desirable

  • Experience with AI, Power BI agents, multi-agent workflows
  • Exposure to commodity purchasing, co-product sales or energy markets
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Background working with B2B connectivity
  • Software development experience
  • Experience with other Power Platform tools such as PowerApps and PowerPages

Qualifications

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field OR relevant equivalent experience
  • Professional IT qualifications beneficial
