Job description

This role is to lead on the design and development of the systems, back-end tech stack which will provide customers with information to support their operations as well provide Voltempo with data on the systems performance. Collaboratively working with the customer in capturing the requirements for the UI and logistic fleet charging performance, developing software and data management architecture, undertake verification and as appropriate certification to ensure compliance to UK & International standards., * Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using a combination of modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js).

  • Build and maintain serverless or containerized applications on AWS (Lambda, ECS, EKS).
  • Create and manage scalable infrastructure using AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Product, and QA.
  • Ensure best practices in security, compliance, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Main responsibilities include designing the backend and data management architecture, validating development and execution of test plans through to product approval. Strong communication and project management skills. Bachelor's or master's degree in a software engineering or computer science, membership of a professional society is a plus.

What credentials are we ideally looking for:

Experience working in EV Charging is highly desirable

Responsibilities include for designing the data base architecture in line with data best practice policy. Proficient in programming skills building Web API, HTML5,CSS3, CSS, JSON,VS code, React, Node, SQL servers

Experience of working in a SME would be desirable, highly collaborative, able to support the development of technology, product roadmaps, familiar and a keen interest in areas of low carbon energy technology and data services, must be numerate with a strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Educate to degree level or equivalent.

About the company

Voltempo is developing Hyper Rapid DC charging solutions for a range of commercial vehicle sectors, initially here in the UK, but progressively, as the transport sector electrifies, internationally. The company holds several international patents, it is engaged in the end-to-end design, supply, site commissioning and servicing of charging solutions, targeting commercial vehicles. The business is currently scaling and is well supported by both its international shareholders and its role under the UK Govt eFreight programme, where it is leading a consortium of UK logistics fleet operators to deploy the UK first eHGVs charging network.
