Job description
GSF's IT Projects Team is driving some of the most exciting innovations in the industry. As an IT Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-profile, strategically important projects across the IT function.
In this role, you will partner with the business to implement technology solutions that enhance the service provided by our roadside patrols and other key operational areas. You will oversee the day-to-day management of your projects, working collaboratively with IT Business Partners and the wider Project Team to ensure that project scope, objectives, and technical requirements are clearly understood, effectively delivered, and supported by strong governance., * Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules, ensuring each project is formally initiated and appropriately closed.
- Produce, store, and maintain all required project documentation throughout the lifecycle such as RAID logs and PIDs, with accuracy and consistency.
- Lead a cross-functional project team, coordinating matrix-managed colleagues and third-party delivery partners.
- Chair delivery meetings and oversee task completion across internal and external teams, ensuring adequate resourcing is in place.
- Provide regular updates on progress and status to key stakeholders across multiple business areas, as well as to the project team (e.g., via weekly PSRs).
- Ensure robust support arrangements are in place following project handover, and confirm all supporting documentation is complete before project closure.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Waterfall?, * Over 3 years' experience working as a Project Manager or in a closely related role.
- Proven ability to drive performance improvements through strong leadership, empowerment of others, and personal development within fast-paced or challenging environments.
- Skilled in influencing stakeholders at all organisational levels, simplifying complex topics and providing clear, confident direction.
- Deep, hands-on experience with project management tools and delivery frameworks, including Waterfall, Hybrid, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong background in IT project management, with experience delivering a wide range of projects varying in scope and complexity.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones.
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated, continuously seeking improvement, embracing new ideas and approaches, and committed to delivering excellence.
Preferred:
- Recognised Project Management related certification/qualification(s).
- Knowledge and experience within the Motor Vehicle Manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, applications, and processes.
