Job description
The European Secure Flow IT Architect is responsible for European Secure Flow/Reverse ITAR IT architectures that enable localized, secure data and process flows within pre-fab and GF's manufacturing environments at our Dresden fab. This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of localized customer and GF processes and data while driving digital transformation and automation in industrial settings. The architect collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and compliance, to deliver secure and scalable solutions tailored to the unique needs of pre-fab and manufacturing operations., * Design and architect secure IT solution for pre-fab and manufacturing environments, adhering to European security standards and regulations
- Lead the assessment of current IT and process infrastructure, identifying challenges and opportunities for secure data flow and system integration.
- Develop and maintain documentation for architecture designs, data flows, and collaborate with security architecture on controls for manufacturing and pre-fab processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, operational technology (OT), and production teams to ensure alignment between IT and production requirements.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive manufacturing data and intellectual property.
- Support the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, edge computing, and smart factory solutions, ensuring secure connectivity and data exchange.
- Advise on best practices for secure supply chain integration with partners and vendors.
- Stay updated on emerging regulatory requirements and technologies to manufacturing IT environments in Europe.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of European cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks
- Experience with manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, PLCs) and integration with IT/OT networks.
- Expertise in secure network design, data flow mapping, and risk assessment for industrial environments.
- Proficiency in cloud, edge, and IoT architectures as applied to manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
