Job description

We are looking for a creative person who wants to work on system engineering as well as on software-related tasks with respect to mission systems for military aircraft. You will have the chance to contribute to various projects across a wide field of aerospace applications and have the chance to work with emerging technologies, shaping the future of airborne platforms., * Define and maintain the overall architecture of mission systems including the design of the codebase.

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code by following software development best practices.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to capture, analyse, define, and manage requirements and specifications.
  • Identify and address technical risks and issues; implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including requirements, specifications, plans, reports, diagrams and presentations.
  • Design intuitive and user-friendly GUIs.
  • Actively support the continuous improvement of our projects, products and processes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in computer science, aerospace engineering or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in identifying, writing, and tracking requirements
  • Experience in software development with modern programming languages and tools
  • Experience with modern principles such as version control, containerization, and agile development methods
  • Optional but desirable: Knowledge in flight control systems, flight dynamics, (sat)comms, sensors,sensor fusion, radar, and simulation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in technical and business English and German, both written and spoken, is required to be able to work in a multinational environment., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
