Job description
We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can rebuild core PMS data foundations while simultaneously supporting urgent analytical business needs. This is not a "clean dashboard-only" role. It's a hands-on, technical, sometimes messy role that requires curiosity, speed, resilience, and strong business judgment.
In the future, this role may evolve toward broader Data functions - but first, the foundations need to be built.
This role sits at the intersection of:
- PMS product & engineering teams
- Data Platform & Business Intelligence
- Business stakeholders who need answers now, not "after the perfect model exists"
You will work closely with PMS engineering leadership, data platform teams, and business stakeholders across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Rebuilding PMS Data Foundations
- Analyze and understand existing PMS data flows, tables, and definitions (often undocumented)
- Rebuild and standardize core PMS data models from the ground up
- Define and document key business metrics, entities, and logic
- Create and maintain clear data definitions and documentation
- Partner closely with Data Platform and PMS engineering teams to ensure scalable solutions
- Hands-on Data Delivery (While Rebuilding)
- Write fast, complex, and reliable SQL to answer business questions
- Deliver ad-hoc and recurring analyses while infrastructure is still evolving
- Balance long-term data quality with short-term business needs
- Support stakeholders with data exploration, validation, and interpretation
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams
- Translate business questions into data requirements (and vice versa)
- Work with developers in PMS teams where local data expertise may not exist
- Influence decisions without formal authority
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Very strong SQL skills - you can write complex queries quickly and confidently
- Experience working with messy, incomplete, or poorly structured data
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments, handling different stakeholders and different requirements.
- Strong business mindset - you care about why the data matters, not just how
- Hands-on mentality: you're comfortable doing the "not-so-nice" work
Technical background
- 3-6+ years in data analytics, data engineering, or similar roles
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Superset or similar).
- Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or data processing
- Experience with DBT (models, tests, documentation)
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience working closely with engineering teams
Soft skills & mindset
- Resilient and persistent - this is a tough role, not a polished one
- Curious and proactive - you dig deep to understand root causes and to detect flaws
- Pragmatic - you know when "good enough" beats "perfect"
- Clear communicator who can adapt to different audiences
- Motivated by impact, not just titles or tools
Benefits & conditions
True flexibility and work-life balance
- Remote or hybrid work model with or hub in Warsaw;
- Flexible working hours (fully flexible, as in most cases you only have to be on a couple of meetings weekly);
- 20/26 days of paid time off (depending on your contract);
- Additional paid day off on your birthday or work anniversary (you choose what you want to celebrate).
Health comes first
- Private healthcare plan with Signal Iduna for you and subsidized for your family.
- Multisport card co-financing for you to have access to sports facilities across Poland.
- Access to iFeel, a technological platform for mental wellness offering online psychological support and counseling.
