- Key Responsibilities
Reporting to our Head of Product Engineering, you will work cross-functionally across our entire technical stack.
Cloud Infrastructure & Operations (MCO)
- Ensure the operational maintenance of our HIPAA-compliant Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, including updates, backups, and high availability.
- Design and deploy new cloud resources (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, buckets, databases) based on client needs.
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules to provision and version the entire infrastructure.
- Participate in periodic security audits and penetration tests, then implement identified remediations.
- Configure Cloud Monitoring dashboards and alerts to track service health and anticipate performance degradation.
Backend Development
- Develop and maintain Golang microservices using an event-driven CQRS architecture with Pub/Sub as the message bus.
- Design and implement gRPC endpoints based on Protobuf definitions shared across backend, web, and mobile.
- Optimize PostgreSQL query performance and configure auto-scaling for Cloud Run instances.
- Write unit and integration tests in compliance with IEC 62304 Class B requirements.
Web Frontend Development
- Develop new features on the React/Redux interface used by healthcare professionals.
- Integrate backend service calls via gRPC clients auto-generated from Protobuf files.
- Collaborate with the product team to improve ergonomics and UX for healthcare providers.
DevOps & Quality
- Improve and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for backend, web, mobile, and firmware repositories.
- Analyze third-party dependency vulnerabilities (SOUP/OTS) via Snyk and schedule corrective updates.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation required by regulatory frameworks (IEC 62304, FDA).
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, readability, and compliance.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Google Cloud Platform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in full-stack development.
- Significant experience (minimum 2 years) managing cloud infrastructure in a production environment.
- Experience in a regulated environment (Healthcare, Finance, Aerospace, Defense) is a major plus.
Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, IAM.
- IaC: Terraform.
- Backend: Golang, Microservices, gRPC/Protobuf.
- Frontend: React, JavaScript ES6+.
- Database: PostgreSQL.
- Containerization: Docker.
- CI/CD: GitLab CI or equivalent.
- Observability: Cloud Monitoring, Sentry, Cloud Logger.
Bonus Skills
- Mobile Development: Flutter/Dart, Native Android (Java).
- Hardware: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- Security: HIPAA compliance, Auth0, Firebase Auth, OWASP, vulnerability scanning.
Soft Skills
