The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
As a Release Manager with additional responsibilities in Test Management, you take on central tasks in our change process. Our services support over 2,500 municipal and cantonal employees daily as well as over one million private individuals and companies annually in tax declaration. Our specialist applications are developed by suppliers and integrated and operated by us. In this reappointment, you take on tasks with sustainable significance for the canton of Zurich.
Your tasks
- In your role, you are responsible for the release and deployment process when making adjustments to our application landscape.
- You define the milestones and lead the process for cross-application releases.
- You work closely with test management, application managers, and specialists from the departments.
- Your core tasks include managing the release scope, identifying and mitigating risks, reporting, and maintaining the change calendar for test and production environments.
- As a Deployment Manager, you lead the go-live for cross-application releases.
- In your additional role as Test Manager, you are responsible for test planning and execution.
- Together with your colleagues, you optimize the processes in test, release, and deployment management.
Requirements
- Minimum two years in a similar role with IT education required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent German communication skills, both written and spoken., You have at least two years of professional experience in a comparable role.
- You have an advanced degree in computer science. Certifications such as ITIL® or ISTQB are an advantage.
- You are comfortable in a team undergoing change and are motivated to actively develop yourself and your colleagues.
- You work in a structured manner and act responsibly.
- You know how to lead your colleagues laterally.
- Your initiative, service orientation, and confident German language skills in spoken and written form complete your profile.
