Data Migration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Data Migration to lead large-scale migration programmes within the insurance/warranty domain. The role focuses on migrating legacy policy and customer data to modern platforms, ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and successful cutover delivery. This is a hands-on delivery role, working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors., + Own end-to-end data migration delivery (planning, profiling, cleansing, ETL, testing, cutover)

• Define migration strategy, governance, RAID, and delivery plans
• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Oversee data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and data quality controls
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and UK regulatory requirements
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
• Lead and motivate cross-functional delivery teams
• Provide clear documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication

• Min 7+ years of Project Management experience

• Must have a strong background in insurance or warranty systems

• Proven delivery of large-scale data migration programmes

• Experience migrating legacy systems to cloud platforms

• Solid understanding of databases, SQL, and data integration challenges

• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile methodologies

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills

• Experience working in regulated environments Nice to Have:

• Experience managing multi-vendor delivery

• Background in policy administration systems
