We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong Citrix expertise to join a highly secure, service-driven environment supporting critical government platforms.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a resilient Citrix estate, ensuring stable and secure access to essential services within a regulated setting.
The Role
You'll act as a Citrix SME, responsible for the stability, performance and ongoing support of a secure Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment.
Working within a skilled infrastructure team, you will:
- Design, build, upgrade and support Citrix environments
- Lead on performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting in high-availability environments
- Support both BAU operations and project deliverables
- Contribute to automation and environment optimisation initiatives
- Integrate Citrix with Active Directory and secure access solutions
- Drive platform resilience, security and user experience improvements
- Produce operational documentation and deliver knowledge transfer
You'll also take a lead in conversations around environment development and growth, utilising automation to enhance infrastructure capability.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale Citrix environments
- Proven troubleshooting capability in complex, high-availability setups
- Experience integrating with Active Directory and secure access platforms
- Strong understanding of user experience optimisation within virtual desktop environments
Certifications (desirable but advantageous):
- CCA-V
- CCP-V
- CCE-V (particularly suited to senior-level candidates)
Experience working within secure or government environments is highly desirable.
