Job description

The purpose of the post is to provide a security response to the newly emerging cyber security threats facing West Dunbartonshire Council. The Security Analyst will put measures in place to protect the integrity of WDC data from unauthorised access, theft and misuse. They will investigate breaches of security from a technical perspective in accordance with defined council guidelines and in co-ordination with other Council officers and departments. They will be responsible for the security configuration of network infrastructure, developing the intrusion prevention and intrusion detection systems and the WDC technical response to any issues as and when they arise.

As a key member of our IT Security team, you'll be dealing with escalated security issues across our organisation.
