Job description

As our Business Information Architect, you'll operate at the exciting intersection of Business Strategy, Data Governance, and AI enablement, driving business excellence through thoughtful information design. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence how business information is structured, governed, and leveraged across our global organization with a true business focus and tangible impact., * Design and govern the L&H Re Semantic Foundation, ensuring consistency, compliance, and strategic alignment, supporting end-to-end business processes and enabling advanced analytics capabilities

  • Serve as Design Owner for the L&H Re Semantic Foundation ensuring appropriate change control and comprehensive documentation
  • Collaborate closely with IT data architects, data stewards, and business leaders to ensure architectural alignment with business objectives
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to build awareness and embed ontology standards in business processes
  • Build close alignment with Data Governance and Process Management principles to ensure a strong business architecture embedded in the Target Operating Model
  • Provide expert guidance and training on ontology usage and governance principles
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards in all data architecture decisions in close collaboration with IT Data Architect

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Excel?, You're a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into simple and pragmatic architectural solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments and excel at communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences. Your passion for data quality and governance is matched by your ability to influence and drive change across organizational boundaries. You enjoy solving complex problems and seeing how your architectural decisions enable business outcomes., * Strong background in Life & Health reinsurance or similar regulated environments

  • Proven experience in business architecture principles, able to translate business practices into structured concepts
  • Good understanding of business information and data modelling, defining and structuring business terminology, concepts and relationships
  • Experience with semantic technologies and linked data approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in data-driven decision-making
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application to data architecture
  • Background in financial services or insurance industry data standards
  • Certification in data management or architecture frameworks (TOGAF, DMBOK, etc.)
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and building data architecture capabilities

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week

Benefits & conditions

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 126'000 CHF and 188'000 CHF for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience

In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
