Job description

Dedicated to the continuous improvement of human health, we are seeing a full stack developer to join our newly formed team tasked with designing and implementing the core system for this data space. The system will be primarily built on AWS, with on-premise compute and storage options to be added later. As a full stack developer, you will build and maintain a secure, cloud-integrated web platform with modern frontend, backend, and DevOps practices., * Frontend Development: Design and implement a high-performance, accessible web portal using React and TypeScript. You will build complex dashboards for project management, data exploration (S3 abstraction), and real-time compute monitoring.

  • Backend Architecture: Develop robust server-side logic and REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js (Express/NestJS) to manage user identities, project governance, and the orchestration of cloud resources.
  • Cloud Integration: Work closely with Cloud Engineers to integrate the application with AWS services (Cognito for federated IAM, S3 for data storage, and ECS/Fargate for containerized compute).
  • Security & Compliance: Implement Privacy by Design principles. You will build audit-logging systems and approval workflows to ensure compliance with GDPR framework.
  • Database Management: Maintain and optimize relational data models using PostgreSQL (via Prisma or TypeORM or Sequelize) to track project states, agreements, and resource quotas.
  • DevOps: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and containerization strategies (Docker) to ensure 100% reproducible development and production environments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Technical Foundation:Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Frontend Mastery:3+ years of experience with React and TypeScript. You should be comfortable building responsive UIs and using modern state management (Redux/Zustand).
  • Backend Expertise:Solid experience in js and building scalable APIs. Familiarity with database schema design and migration strategies.
  • Cloud Literacy:Experience with the AWS ecosystem is highly desirable (specifically Cognito, S3, and Lambda).
  • Language:Proficiency in English (working language); German is a plus but not required

Das Universitätsklinikum Regensburg (UKR) ist eines der modernsten Universitätsklinka in Deutschland und medizinischer Höchstversorger im ostbayerischen Raum.
