Job description
- Design and develop data interfaces to import/export data between internal systems and third-party services.
- Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL stored procedures, views, and queries.
- Collaborate with consultants and client stakeholders to define technical needs and project scope.
- Write comprehensive interface specifications, including data mapping, transformation logic, file formats, and transfer schedules.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data flows, resolving transformation and delivery issues effectively.
- Maintain clear documentation for integration logic and operational procedures.
- Ensure all solutions meet internal standards for security, reliability, and data quality.
Requirements
Do you have experience in XML?, * Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedure development and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience developing system integrations involving structured data.
- Ability to create accurate, detailed technical specifications for data interfaces and file transfers.
- Knowledge of file-based formats (CSV, XML, JSON) and secure transfer methods (e.g. SFTP).
- Understanding of relational databases and data transformation techniques.
- Experience working with personal and financial data in a secure and compliant manner., * Background working with student information systems or platforms used in education or finance.
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g. SQL Agent) or task automation (e.g. PowerShell).
- Basic familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON) - although this is not the primary integration method.
