Job description
As a Senior Data Analyst at The Collecting Group, you will be at the forefront of unlocking data-driven insights that shape product strategy, operational efficiency, and commercial performance. Sitting at the intersection of product, growth, and executive decision-making, you'll combine rigorous analysis with strategic thinking to influence the future of our platform.
You will go beyond dashboards: building models, running experiments, and helping us scale insight-driven decision making across Collecting Cars, Watch Collecting, and eventually, Collecting.com. You'll also act as a translator between raw data and commercial impact, making complex findings digestible and actionable for business and leadership stakeholders.
The Challenge

Drive the data and analytics function, overseeing strategic priorities, workflow management, and team mentorship to guarantee the delivery of rigorous, timely, and impactful analytical output.

Construct scalable analytical frameworks using SQL and Python to provide continuous, data-driven monitoring of marketplace dynamics, product performance, and user behaviour.

Act as a key strategic thought partner for Product, Tech, Ops, and Marketing, delivering data-driven clarity on performance and providing clear recommendations for future experiments.

Distill complex, raw data into concise, commercially-focused narratives and insights for presentation to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.

Create and implement a range of AI/ML methodologies (including LLMs, RAG, clustering, and regression) to create intelligent internal tools and uncover new opportunities for commercial growth.

Develop of advanced forecasting and modelling techniques to inform pricing structures, accelerate auction velocity, and guide the product development roadmap.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of A/B testing and experimentation, from initial design and implementation to final analysis, with results directly shaping the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.

Execute proactive trend and impact analyses on key business metrics to identify underlying performance drivers, detect market inflection points, and inform strategic priorities.

Identify and automated key inefficient processes within the auction lifecycle, leading to measurable improvements in operational speed, scalability, and accuracy.

If you are an experienced Senior Data Insight & Business Analyst with a passion for cars, watches, and shaping the future of digital platforms, we want you to lead our analytics efforts.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * 5+ years of experience in analytical roles, with a strong bias towards product analytics, growth, or marketplace environments.
- Demonstrable experience leading an analytics function or team, including hiring, mentoring, and workflow prioritisation.
- Expert SQL and Python skills, including production-grade pipelines, scripting, and automation.
- Comfortable using BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or Lightdash, and running analysis in statistical packages.
- 2 + years of hands on experience working with LLMs and AI-powered tools to support insight generation, automation, and experimentation in a professional environment.
- Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders with data storytelling and commercial acumen
- Deep understanding of marketplace KPIs: CAC, LTV, take-rate, sale rate, funnel conversion, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to make complex ideas easy to grasp.
- A growth mindset: low ego, high curiosity, and an instinct to ask better questions, not just pull data.
