Job description

The successful candidate will be instrumental in strengthening the organisation's data security posture. This involves scanning diverse environments to identify sensitive data, implementing remediation measures, and automating escalation and remediation workflows. The role also provides the opportunity to influence platform strategy, drive cloud-native adoption, and deliver meaningful improvements across multiple security domains.

What You'll Be Working On

Enhancing data security platform and scanning infrastructure Designing and delivering Data Security services with engineering teams Supporting the adoption of modern cloud-native architectures Ensuring Data Security and cloud infrastructure follow latest security patterns Identifying sensitive data and implementing automated remediation pathways

Requirements

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join their team on a long-term engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at scale, helping shape and enhance the organisation's Data Security capabilities across a complex and evolving technology estate.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of at least one DSPM platform: Varonis, Cyera, BigID, or similar., Expert knowledge of at least one DSPM platform: Varonis, Cyera, BigID, or similar Strong hands-on experience across DLP, Data Privacy, DSPM/CSPM, SIEM, and vulnerability management Proficiency with Helm, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and multi-environment deployments Experience scanning structured/unstructured data sources (SMB, Confluence, Jira) Strong Scripting (Python or similar) and SQL skills Solid cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure Good understanding of data classification, retention, deletion, and privacy automation Strong Linux CLI and troubleshooting capability
