Job description
DevOps Engineers are IT professionals who collaborate with software developers to manage code releases and manage and monitor the application health.
DevOps Engineers design and implements the solutions to automatize the code release. They make change in AWS architecture with two principal objectives: improve the platform to use new AWS functionalities and provision new architecture for the new projects that are design by the Solutions Architects.
DevOps Engineers implement changes at AWS platform to build automated deployments using configuration management technology. They deploy new modules and upgrade and complete fixes within the production environment.
DataFlow DevOps Engineers develop and maintain cross-infrastructure platform for data transmission and deliver into the organization while monitoring and extending data flows across environments.

- Creating Cloud based infrastructure required by the Software and business teams.
- Creating and maintaining scripts to spin up and spin down instances required for applications.
- Ensure that the company follows security policies, such as care for sensitive data access, establishment of non-repudiation mechanisms, password and key rotation.
- Providing direct support during various operations activities such as deployment, migrations process or new functionalities launching.
- Collaborating with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and best practices.
- Create various types of alerts that monitor systems health and report any issues if they occur and when they happen Dataflow team jump on the issues and resolve them by themselves.
- Cost savings/ Cost Optimization is huge part of their activities.
- Design infrastructure and new process required to handle data flows across organization following best practices and industry standards.
- Develop process and tools to automate operational task.

Requirements
- Strong background in systems automation, development and Linux administration for at least 10 years.
Education
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technnical field. (Preferred)
- Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps practices (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, Google Cloud DevOps) are a plus.
Languages
- Spanish and English (Required)
Hard Skills
- Understanding of system communication standards and protocols such SFTP, TCP, UDP, etc.
- Understanding of cipher algorithms and mechanisms.
- Good development skills primarily python3.
- Good systems quality aspects knowledge (but not limited to): High Availability, Security, Traceability, Reliability, Integrity, Maintainability, Scalability, Simplicity, Standard Compliance and Fault Tolerance.
- Knowledge and hands on experience of cloud environments. Concepts of AWS Cloud Services Lambdas, S3, ECS, StepFuntions, TransferFamily, ECS, Cloudwatch and cloudformation(infrastructure as code). Tools: shell script (bash), Python, java script, bamboo, ansible, awscli, aws, splunk, grafana, dockers, etc.
- Expertise across source control tools, continuous integration tools and team management tools.

- Ability to explain complex topics (cloud, resiliency, security, costs) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to understand the full architecture (infrastructure, business, security, costs, teams) and how everything interconnects.
