Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing, and enhancing scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms. In this position, you will apply deep expertise in automation, cloud infrastructure, and system reliability to solve complex technical challenges, evolve our CI/CD pipelines, and architect solutions that accelerate deployment, strengthen resilience, and support operational excellence.

In addition to hands-on engineering responsibilities, you will mentor colleagues, contribute to technical strategy, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality software. Your leadership will help define DevOps best practices, improve system reliability, and enable the organisation to deliver products aligned with strategic business objectives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading strategic automation and platform-modernisation initiatives by assessing emerging technologies and implementing enhancements that improve performance, developer experience, and operational maturity across business-critical applications
  • Owning and driving complex release processes, coordinating cross-team delivery to ensure predictable, high-quality deployments while proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and systemic issues
  • Architecting and continuously optimising CI/CD pipelines, introducing best-practice tooling, automation standards, and governance to enhance delivery speed, stability, and consistency
  • Championing observability and operational excellence by designing and managing advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks that enable proactive issue identification and rapid incident response
  • Embedding security, compliance, and resilience into infrastructure and delivery pipelines, ensuring alignment with internal standards, regulatory obligations, and secure-by-design principles
  • Providing technical leadership during production incidents, guiding cross-team response efforts, driving root-cause analysis, and delivering long-term remediation to strengthen system reliability
  • Mentoring and coaching engineers across DevOps and development functions, promoting best practices, elevating technical capability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, architecture, security, and product, to align technical solutions with business objectives and ensure seamless delivery within sprint and release cycles

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, * Demonstrable experience in DevOps engineering, supported by a technology-focused degree or equivalent hands-on expertise

  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, or Rust) and strong understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPNs, firewalls)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
  • Practical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), Terraform (IaC), and containerisation/orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Familiarity with Agile tooling (JIRA, Confluence), version control (Git), secrets management solutions, and monitoring/logging platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog)
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain large-scale, automated, and highly reliable infrastructure and platform solutions
  • Strong capability in diagnosing complex distributed system issues, conducting high-quality code/infrastructure reviews, and evaluating architectural options across technical, security, and business dimensions
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, including alignment to strategic direction, positive challenge to priorities, and mentoring/coaching engineering team members
