Job description
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable IT Systems & Web Support Specialist to provide comprehensive support across internal IT operations, cloud infrastructure (AWS), bespoke software integration, and website maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical skill set, strong communication abilities, and a problem-solving mindset. You will serve as a vital link between internal users, developers, and customers, ensuring that both day-to-day IT needs and long-term system improvements are effectively managed., Internal IT Support & Operations
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices to ensure minimal disruption to end users.
- Create and manage user accounts and credentials across platforms including Windows, TeamViewer, and other company-specific systems.
- Investigate and resolve permission-related issues, ensuring appropriate access control and user privileges are maintained.
- Act as the central point of contact for all internal IT queries, escalating to third-party providers when necessary.
- Monitor, manage, and verify internal backup systems to ensure data integrity and recoverability.
Cloud Infrastructure & AWS Management
- Provision, configure, and maintain Amazon EC2 instances based on business requirements.
- Oversee cloud-based backup solutions to ensure secure and reliable data storage and recovery.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with AWS RDS instances, particularly in connection with siloed data systems.
- Configure DNS records and routing to support both cloud-hosted and on-premises infrastructure.
Bespoke Software Coordination
- Engage with customers to understand and document their specific requirements for custom software solutions.
- Translate client needs into clear, structured specifications for internal or external development teams.
- Perform functional testing and quality assurance on delivered bespoke software to ensure alignment with initial requirements.
- Seamlessly implement and integrate new scripts or modules into existing client systems, verifying compatibility and stability.
Website Management & Maintenance
- Maintain and update content across multiple client and company websites, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Regularly verify that automated and manual backups are functioning correctly and stored securely.
- Administer WordPress websites, ensuring that core files, themes, and plugins are kept up to date and secure.
- Collaborate with internal marketing/sales teams to implement web changes or improvements.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Technical support?, * Proven experience in a multi-faceted IT support role.
- Familiarity with Windows user account management and IT service tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, RDS, and Route 53.
- Strong understanding of DNS configuration and cloud networking basics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical language for non-technical users.
- Experience working with WordPress and general website management.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Optional:
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, C#).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of software development life cycles and QA processes., * Basic scripting languages: 3 years (preferred)
- Technical Help desk: 3 years (preferred)
