Job description
To provide applications support and solutions to customers and colleagues to meet customer requirements for electronic/ electro-hydraulic systems, including the provision of comprehensive technical advice and expertise to internal and external stakeholders, liaising with field based Sales personnel and internal departments to ensure the effective provision of information and advice to meet customer needs
- Review, advise and process system requests (including those for new/modified products) from the field
- Provide product and systems recommendations on a timely basis in accordance with customer needs and requirements
- Provide field support when required for the installation of systems and components
- Assist customer in hands-on trouble shooting when required to identify and resolve issues
- Integrate electro-hydraulic control systems with OEM specific electronic architecture
- Coordinate with colleagues and customers to participate in multi-national projects as required
- Liaise with Regional Sales Mangers, Applications Engineers, Customers and other personnel to report activities and progress
- Work with RSMs, Applications Engineers, customers and other relevant personnel to coordinate projects to meet customer requirements
- Create market surveys for special markets, applications or products, providing feedback and recommendations based on gathered data
- Develop strategies to access or penetrate dedicated markets, to support sales and application team or distribution network
- Liaise with UK and US colleagues where required in the further development of personal expertise and knowledge
- Train internal and external sales people/ distributors in using/ bringing new solutions to market and support sales at customers to initiate new (electronic) projects, if required
- Provide support at exhibitions where required
Requirements
Do you have experience in Sales?, * Educated to degree level in mechanical engineering or similar discipline
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in application of hydraulic & electronic systems in the mobile equipment market
- Good technical ability in hydraulic valves and systems
- Good working knowledge of electronics and field bus systems essential with the ability to develop further in this area
- Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and experienced in use of MRP systems.
