Job description

  • Produce infrastructure drawings and designs, using AutoCAD and similar software systems
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders regarding on-going projects
  • Prepare calculations and designs for Adoptable Works, with reference to the relevant Section Agreements (i.e., S104, S38, and S278)
  • Check drawings and calculations prepared by other colleagues within the team
  • Assist in the distribution of project documents and material (via email and other mediums)
  • Contribute to a broad range of exciting projects

Requirements

This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a trusted, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for delivering their expertise throughout the engineering and environmental landscapes, delivering major, exciting projects right across the UK. They are actively seeking a keen, capable Infrastructure Engineer who is willing to join a high-performing team of experts in the field, and deliver on an extensive range of projects. You will be based near the lively, industrial town of Wigan., * A Higher Qualification (i.e., HNC, HND, or Degree) in Civil Engineering

  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Causeway PDS, MicroDrainage, and other relevant software systems
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role within a UK consultancy or Local Authority (LA) setting, designing roads and sewers
  • Good knowledge of highways and drainage design, as well as ground modelling
  • Experience of using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage to produce drainage designs (including SuDS)
  • Excellent working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (S104, S38, S278, etc.)
  • Experience in residential development design
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Infrastructure Engineer include:

  • An advanced qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Actively working to attain Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body
  • Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
