Job description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of IT projects across all phases. In addition to core project management responsibilities, the role includes completing basic business analysis activities such as requirements gathering, process documentation, and solution validation. The IT Project Manager will also support Azure DevOps by maintaining project backlogs, coordinating sprints, and collaborating with development and operations teams. The role requires producing weekly project status reports and keeping project boards up to date to ensure visibility, transparency, and effective communication with stakeholders and governance groups., Working as a member of the IT Team as part of Infrastructure Delivery, reporting directly to the IT Programme manager.

  • Project manages IT SaaS and Infrastructure Projects and coordination of all relevant activities.
  • Manage IT project risks and their mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate the transition from service delivery to operations in terms of incident mgmt., knowledge, asset mgmt, training.
  • Support the procurement and scoping effort.
  • Regular reporting on progress, risks and subcontractor and system owner's performance.
  • Meet goals and deadline
  • Coordinate with Digital Data, Operations and Cyber teams as required.
  • Proficient in Project Management, Agile, Risk management, HS2 - working with Skanska, Costain and STRABAG, closely monitors job applications, to ensure an inclusive recruitment process. Requirements

  • Awareness of ISO27001 and Data Protection Act
  • Project Management Frameworks
  • Construction experience is desirable
  • Goal-oriented, committed and ability to work independently
  • Teamwork capabilities
  • Azure DevOps and task planning, * A physical or mental impairment, which has a substantial and long-term effect (over 12 months) adverse effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated in your application and pre-interview stage that you meet the minimum job criteria and person specification for the role

The SCS IT Team manages cloud-based services and on-site IT facilities, supporting approximately 4,000 users. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
