Job description

In our team you will participate in the design, specification, integration and validation of embedded optical systems on mobile platforms - UAVs, ground and naval platforms - focused on observation, navigation and guidance applications in highly demanding military environments. You will work on the advanced characterization of optical sensors and the definition of robust architectures capable of operating under critical environmental conditions. Your tasks include:

  • Supporting the technical selection and specification of cameras and optical sensors: visible, infrared, multispectral and beyond.
  • Participating in the design and validation of image stabilization systems, including gimbals, electronic image stabilization and active control.
  • Collaborating in the technical characterization of optical sensors, evaluating parameters such as resolution, noise, MTF and sensitivity using calibrated targets and controlled illumination.
  • Integrating optical systems into mobile platforms and assisting in functional and environmental testing, including vibration and temperature trials.
  • Working closely with GNC, perception, structures and software teams, acting as the bridge between optics and the overall system.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Python?, We are looking for graduates in Telecommunications, Electronic, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering, or Physics, with a background in optics, photonics, computer vision, optical sensors or image processing, and a genuine interest in applying that knowledge to embedded defense systems.

We will also value knowledge of applied optics fundamentals and CCD/CMOS image sensors, optical filters, mechanical or digital image stabilization, optical processing and analysis, as well as programming skills in Python and/or C/C++ and a basic understanding of embedded systems and sensor integration.

Benefits & conditions

Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.

Flexible start and finish times, and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer.

Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support.

National and international mobility. Do you come from another country? We can offer you a relocation package.

Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation and discount on brands.
