Job description

You'll be joining a highly skilled and well-established security and cloud team that plays a crucial role within the organisation. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will work exclusively within the Microsoft 365 Security Stack, including:

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Identity & Access Management)
  • Microsoft Defender XDR (Email, Devices, Apps)
  • Microsoft Purview (Data Governance & Compliance)
  • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM & Threat Response)

This is a hands-on role covering both project work and BAU, giving you the chance to contribute to key security initiatives while also supporting day-to-day cyber operations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and improving the organisation's cyber security posture
  • Security remediation activities
  • Threat detection and investigation
  • SOC-style threat response
  • Endpoint security management
  • Identity & access management (IAM)

Requirements

  • Experienced Cyber Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience across Azure & Microsoft security technologies
  • Practical experience with: Sentinel, Defender, Purview and Entra ID
  • Ability to work independently, proactive and self-starting
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with both IT and business stakeholders
