Chief Technology Officer

We're seeking a hands-on founding CTO to join our leadership team. This is a career-defining opportunity for an ambitious engineering leader to step into their first CTO role and shape a global platform from the ground up. You'll architect, build, and scale:

• The ad delivery system powering geofenced, real-time campaigns.
• A machine vision stack that measures impressions, demographics, and engagement.
• A self-serve platform enabling SMEs to launch outdoor campaigns in just a few clicks.
• Resilient infrastructure for thousands of connected devices across multiple cities.

You'll work directly with leadership and commercial teams, shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring our product can scale globally., * Technology Strategy & Vision

• Define and implement Canopy's IT and product technology strategy aligned with business goals.
• Own and evolve Canopy's core technology stack to ensure scalability, resilience, and innovation.
• Architecture & Infrastructure
• Design and oversee enterprise architecture, including a global cloud platform for content distribution and analytics.
• Select and manage technology vendors, tools, and platforms.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy standards.
• Engineering Leadership
• Build, guide, and supervise a high-performing engineering team.
• Establish best practices for agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
• Product Development & Delivery
• Partner with product and business teams to translate vision into technical roadmaps.
• Drive rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment of new features.
• Ensure system uptime, performance, and scalability across global deployments.
• Operational Excellence
• Implement monitoring, analytics, and reporting systems to optimize performance.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for technology initiatives.
• Represent technology in investor discussions and strategic partnerships.

Do you have experience in SaaS?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Experience: Minimum 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role (Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, or equivalent).

• Proven track record in building and scaling cloud-based platforms.
• Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and SaaS product development.
• Experience in vendor selection and management.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and inspire engineering teams in startup or scale-up environments.
• Knowledge of digital advertising, IoT, or mobility platforms is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Entrepreneurial mindset, thrives in ambiguity, and excited by the challenge of building from scratch.
