Job description
In this role we are looking for support to test lead and work with a team in order to deliver test results on time, on quality and within the allocated budget for a variety of airframe tests.
Within the airframe engineering organisation the team is responsible for performing all static and fatigue structure tests, allocated to the UK test centre, on all Airbus aircraft programmes, including R&T projects.
Duties:
- Your main tasks and responsibilities will include leading highly critical structural tests and other business critical projects, including but not limited to;

Support to performance of structural tests

Ensuring calibration of equipment

Acquisition of physical data

Test Reporting
- Regular reporting and stakeholder management of test customers, including arranging/chairing meetings
- Financial governance of test budget and allocation of test resource
- Securing adherence to the Structures Test Quality Process DE.PA.04.02 and respect of all suitable transnational processes, methods and tools
- Securing adherence to all HS&E policies
- Launch subcontracting activities following policy, managing purchasing and goods receipt.
- Anticipate, identify and manage risks & opportunities.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- +5 years of experience in:

Project management & delivery projects to time, cost, quality

Aeronautical structures
- Experience in structures or materials testing would be an advantage
- Experience in managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be an advantage
Soft skills:
- Pioneering spirit, open to new ideas/innovation
- Good communication skills, multifunctional work and customer focused
- Team worker
- Proven ability to deliver
- MS Office and G Suite
- Experience or interest in DDMS / Hybrid Testing & Simulation
- Project management certification would be a plus
