Joining a fast paced and friendly team, as a senior IT technician you will be dealing with every day support issues, maintaining infrastructures and responsible for scoping, designing and implementing solutions for customers along side our project manager.
Ideally this role is suited to someone who is keen to constantly learn and push themselves to achieve. Fluent are growing fast and you would have the opportunity to grow with us.
You will be part of a newly merged team, looking after our customers devices, physical infrastructures, IaaS and SaaS environments as well as security measures, connectivity and in some cases phone systems.
The role is office based, however customer site visits will be required.
Main duties
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for customers
- Server installation, configurations and maintenance
- Constantly monitor internal and customer security measures
- New customer onboarding
- Liaise with account managers and sales team to scope and design customer solutions
- Assisting with technical project implementations
- Maintain high level documentation
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Virtualization?, * At least two years experience in a 2nd Line role
- Microsoft Active Directory & Entra
- Microsoft Exchange/M365 Exchange
- Microsoft 365 licencing understanding
- Microsoft Intune & MDM
- Microsoft identity management
- Exceptional networking skills inc. VLANs and diagnostics
- Firewall management, policies and routing
- Virtualization - VMWare & Hyper-V
- Comfortable using SSH
- Comfortable in assessing customer requirements and ways of working to design and recommend solutions
- RMM experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to discuss technical matters in a language that customers understand
- Full UK driving licence
Advantageous Experience
- Azure
- Ubiquiti eco system
- Fortigate firewalls
- Understanding of backup products such as Datto, N-Able, Veeam etc
- NinjaOne RMM
- Microsoft, Cisco, Ubiquiti or Fortinet certifications, * 2nd line: 2 years (preferred)

- A customer has a 10 staff. M365 is in use with each staff member having an account. They have 10 Business Standard licences in order to provide a mailbox and software for all users. They also have 3 Exchange Online Plan 1 licences and 4 shared mailboxes and have the default anti-phish, anti-spam, anti-malware and link protection policies enabled for email protection.
What is the status of their M365 licence compliance?
- If handed a new firewall would you be comfortable configuring this from scratch inclusive of VLANs, cross VLAN security, internal and external routing and policies?
