Job description
- Work as a Data Engineer with strong statistical and data science expertise within Six Sigma task forces to address complex manufacturing and operational challenges using digitally enhanced Six Sigma methodologies
- Support the Six Sigma Black Belt task force lead with advanced analytics, data preparation, and insight generation
- Identify, access, and connect to relevant enterprise and operational data sources, primarily within the SAP and Microsoft ecosystem (e.g. SAP, SharePoint, file shares, SQL databases)
- Gather, clean, transform, and structure data from diverse sources into analysis-ready datasets
- Apply multivariate data analysis techniques and create interactive, insight-driven visualizations for expert and management audiences
- Leverage Microsoft Azure AI services to digitize documents, automate data processing, and develop machine learning models for operational use cases
- Strong hands-on skills in Python, including the effective use of AI-assisted coding tools and agents to accelerate development and analysis
- Optional experience with Dataiku or similar analytics platforms is considered a plus
Requirements
Do you have experience in Six Sigma?, * High resilience and adaptability, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-impact task force environments, particularly during critical project phases
- Strong intrinsic motivation to support operating companies in challenging business situations and enthusiasm for solving complex, data-intensive problems
- University degree in software, engineering, data science, natural sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Solid foundation in statistics, data analysis, and data engineering concepts, applied in real-world industrial or business contexts
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with Six Sigma experts, engineers, operations, and management
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
- Comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
- Willingness to travel internationally and spend extended periods at Heraeus manufacturing sites worldwide
