Job description
We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support a secure defence platform programme. You'll design and deliver zero-touch, production-grade automation solutions across enterprise infrastructure using Python3, Ansible and Bash, working within an Agile technical team., * Design, build and validate infrastructure automation components
- Reverse engineer manual or Legacy build processes into parameterised, repeatable automation
- Develop complex Python3 automation for production environments
- Automate server, network and storage deployments across multi-vendor platforms
- Integrate with external REST/SOAP APIs
- Produce high-quality code using Git/BitBucket and participate in peer reviews
- Support system testing and resolve technical issues with Service Management
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Python3 automation in production environments
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet or Chef)
- Strong Bash Scripting skills
- Experience deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure environments
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Active SC OR DV Clearance (essential)
