Full Stack Developer & DevOps Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Stack Developer & DevOps Engineer to join the team at Sunbeam Fostering. This role will be based at our Head Office in Langley. You'll share our commitment to provide a high-quality service to achieve positive outcomes for our children/young people.

What the role includes:

• Design, develop, and implement software applications and systems based on business requirements (frontend + backend).
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure that software is reliable, secure, and performs efficiently under various conditions
• Collaborate with IT Manager to identify project requirements, deliver features, and solve technical challenges.
• Optimize performance of current software systems and implement improvements to enhance the speed and efficiency of the systems.
• Participate in code reviews providing feedback and suggestions to maintain code quality and consistency.

• Manage cloud environments (/Azure/GCP) including networking, storage, and security.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field Proficient in

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, or similar.
• Experience with front-end and back-end development (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Spring etc.)
• Knowledge of databases: SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• At least 4 years' experience preferred in a similar role
• 4+ years hand on experience with Azure, or GCP
• Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
