practices.Stay up to date with PostgreSQL advancements and recommend improvements.Build and maintain observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) to monitor databases and applications.Proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve performance and availability issues.Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts to reduce manual database operational tasks.Support capacity planning, performance testing, and scalability strategies for both database and applications.Collaborate with delivery and operations teams to improve system architecture for reliability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiencyWhat we expect from youBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and database architecture for high-traffic systems.Experience with replication, clustering, partitioning, and HA/DR solutions.Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., pg_stat_statements, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Solid knowledge of database security, compliance, and access control management.Solid knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.Proven skills in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar). Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.Familiarity with audit and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO *****, GDPR, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Hands-on experience with cloud-hosted PostgreSQL (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL) is an advantage.Advanced certifications in databases, PostgreSQL, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus.What do we offer?
