- Management and maintenance of internal Data tools and workflows access.
- Develop Data applications to optimize and streamline the Data curating and governance activities.
- Database curation and machine learning models versioning for OrthoGrid projects
- Work with multidisciplinary team to develop image data cohorts for research projects.
- Auto-annotation of data, including fluoroscopy, x-ray, CT, and MRI using active learning techniques.
- Work with compliancy department to maintain HIPAA compliancy of the databases and ensure data privacy and management of access.
- May manage one or more advanced Data research projects simultaneously.
- May oversee teams of annotators and junior data engineers.
- May lead Data research feasibility studies and outline 2D/3D data needs and requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Support the data team by automating and optimizing data workflows using AI and assisting in quality assurance (QA) processes.
- May participate to lab activities to collect research data and test/validate new features.
- May travel to conferences for technology exploration and research.
- May travel to the US offices for close collaboration with other team members.
- Contribute to enhance data documentations and date procedures.

Do you have experience in Python?, Do you have a Master's degree?, OrthoGrid Systems is seeking a skilled Data Scientist Engineer m/w to contribute to research and development efforts for groundbreaking surgical medical image analysis technology.
This role offers a unique chance to collaborate within a tight-knit team of engineers, scientists, and medical professionals dedicated to creating intraoperative computer vision tools for orthopedic procedures.
The ideal candidate will be an adept software engineer with a strong background in using AI techniques to automate Data workflows, committed to streamlining and enhancing data workflows for orthopedic image databases.
Key responsibilities include ensuring optimized and automated data governance and storage, supporting and management of machine learning Datasets used research initiatives, and ensuring data compliance. Proficiency in handling large datasets, implementing data quires using inclusion/exclusion criteria, and automating data workflows to extract pertinent features is required., You hold a master's degree or a Phd in Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data science or related field, with a focus on medical image processing
In addition you have a proven track record in working with image processing techniques and mathematics as well as 2D and 3D image segmentation and classification techniques.
You have the ability to meaningfully contribute to data automation using AI tools. A working experience with lager database and medical image database like fluoroscopic, x-ray, CT and MRI imaging modalities is required.
C++ and Python development experience is a must.

Proficient in English, you demonstrate excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills., * Proven expertise in managing large image databases and the use of data-driven analytics to uncover pertinent image patterns.
- Familiarity with CUDA and OpenCL for accelerated computing tasks.
- Demonstrated proficiency with 2D and 3D annotation tools and visualization platforms like FiftyOne and CVAT, MONAI Label.
- Working knowledge of medical open-source frameworks for deep learning and active learning, including MONAI.
- Competence in applying mathematical principles and image processing techniques to both 2D and 3D .
- Strong grasp of machine learning principles as they pertain to medical image analysis.
- Hands-on experience in developing 2D and 3D machine learning models for data analysis.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies for efficient project execution.
- Proficiency in utilizing toolkits such as VTK, ITK, OpenCV, CMake, and Qt.
- Previous involvement in developing data applications and data workflows optimization.
