Background:

In a global, cross-functional environment, the PCR Software Development chapter develops, delivers and and maintains integrated, unified and reliable software solutions for Molecular Diagnostics Systems by leveraging our advanced capabilities, in-depth knowledge and strong internal & external partnerships driving the accuracy, efficiency and agility in innovating the Molecular Lab experience for our customers and patients throughout their journey., * You work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product Owner, System Architect, Solution Architect, System Engineers, etc.) to understand and translate complex business and customer needs into effective technical solutions and communicate these to the team and the stakeholders.

  • You design and develop innovative software solutions that meet regulatory requirements as well as fulfill system quality attributes like scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, interoperability, extensibility, etc.
  • You guide the team to adhere to best practices in software development and inline with the organizational strategy and practices including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration, to deliver high-quality solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • You act as a mentor and role model, guiding and empowering team members in technical development, promoting a collaborative working environment and contributing effectively to the team's success.

Requirements

The perfect candidate brings strong knowledge of React and strong experience on developing embedded user interfaces using Rust or C++ or similar. Additionally we are looking for someone with experience in the specialized field of Software Development / Engineering for embedded systems and who speaks fluent English., * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Software Development or Engineering for embedded systems. Experience in a regulated environment is an advantage.

  • Strong expertise in React and extensive hands-on experience developing embedded user interfaces using Rust, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Proven ability to guide, direct, and review software artefacts and code delivered by external development teams.
  • Experience with Electron or Tauri is considered a strong benefit.
  • Demonstrated capability to solve complex technical challenges creatively and effectively, using a structured and analytical approach.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Ability to ensure that architectural concepts are properly implemented within Scrum teams.
  • Able to represent team-specific technical needs at the Solution Architect / Solution Level.
  • Skilled in overseeing software development both within a Scrum team and in the broader context of an Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster an inclusive and diverse working environment and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Leads by example, promotes cross-functional value delivery, and contributes to a psychologically safe, empowered working environment while ensuring accountability and ownership.
  • High motivation to make a meaningful impact on your team, the company, customers, and ultimately on patients.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
