Job description

As a Staff Engineer, you are a technical multiplier. You will drive the architectural direction of our services, balancing high-level system design with hands-on execution. We are technology agnostic; while our current ecosystem is built on Python, TypeScript (React), gRPC, and AWS, we value engineering fundamentals and the ability to choose the right tool for the challenge over specific syntax mastery., * Architectural Stewardship: Lead the development of scalable back-end and front-end services, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of high-traffic financial systems.

  • Crypto & Fintech Strategy: Design and implement solutions within the Crypto/Blockchain space, ensuring seamless integration with traditional Financial Services flows.
  • Engineering Excellence: Define and uphold high standards for code quality, security, and performance. You aren't just following practices-you're setting them.
  • Technical Risk Management: Proactively identify architectural bottlenecks and production risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure 24/7 reliability.
  • Mentorship & Influence: Support the technical growth of the engineering team. You lead by example, fostering a culture of continuous learning and rigorous troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years in full-stack software development with a track record of building and running high-traffic services in production.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Crypto and Blockchain projects is essential. You understand the nuances of the ecosystem and its technical challenges.
  • Industry Background: Ideally, you have significant experience within Fintech or Financial Services, with a deep understanding of ledgering, compliance, and financial data integrity.
  • Distributed Systems: Expert-level knowledge of distributed architectures using gRPC, REST, Messaging, and various communication protocols.
  • Data & Cloud: High proficiency in cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills; experience managing or technically leading a squad of engineers is a significant plus.
  • Agnostic Mindset: Comfortable moving between languages and frameworks as the product evolves, with a primary focus on clean, maintainable architecture.
