Junior Systems Engineer

We're supporting an ambitious, up-and-coming organisation based in Chester that is investing heavily in its internal technology function. With continued growth and a clear roadmap for cloud adoption, they're now looking to appoint a Junior Systems Engineer to support the evolution of their infrastructure environment., As a Junior Systems Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organisation's infrastructure estate. This will include assisting with Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365 management, Azure AD, endpoint management, and virtualised environments.

You'll support escalated issues from the service desk, contribute to ongoing cloud migration work, and assist with security and backup improvements. It's an ideal move for someone currently in a 2nd Line Support role who's ready to step further into systems engineering within a growing business where you can genuinely make an impact.

• Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
• Active Directory / Azure AD
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Basic Azure exposure
• VMware or Hyper-V
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)
• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Clear progression plan and mentorship from senior engineers
• Training support including Microsoft and Azure certifications
• Exposure to infrastructure projects, not just BAU support
