Job description

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, who is seeking a Network Architect for an initial six-month assignment with the option to extend.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and possess a strong background in Network Architecture, with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience developing network architectural strategies for cyber security, cloud services, data centres, and storage solutions, working in public sector or defence-secure environments.
  • Extensive knowledge in both Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) for Cisco network design, demonstrating proficiency across a diverse array of technologies, including IP routing and switching, network virtualisation, LAN, WAN, cloud, and data centre solutions.
  • Significant experience in delivering effective network security solutions utilising firewalls, specifically Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco Virtual Security Gateway.
  • Proficient in the design, configuration, and maintenance of F5 load balancers.
  • A comprehensive understanding of security principles from the NCSC, GDS, Secure by Design and NIST, along with experience in UK government technology strategies and policies.
