Job description

We like to be straightforward: we'll tell you what you won't find online. You will work on real projects with advanced technology and multidisciplinary teams, participating across the full lifecycle of critical systems.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

Within our team, you will participate in the development of aeronautical critical defense systems, contributing to HW/SW systems engineering from requirements analysis through final validation, ensuring overall technical consistency, traceability, and coordination across disciplines.

You will be involved in projects following structured processes (V-model), supporting architecture and interface definition, verification strategies, and coordination across hardware, software, and transversal engineering areas.

Main responsibilities:

  • Participate in systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle.
  • Define and analyze technical requirements and ensure traceability.
  • Prepare technical documentation (architectures, specifications, interfaces, and validation plans).
  • Coordinate technical activities across HW (electronics, FPGA, mechanics), SW, RAMT, and Safety teams.
  • Act as technical interface with customers and internal teams, including production-related areas.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineer in HW/SW development within complex and regulated environments, with strong understanding of electronic and computing architectures and experience working with structured systems engineering methodologies.

For this position, we are seeking engineers with proven experience in technological projects, with a background in electronics, computer architecture, or systems engineering, and strong interest in critical systems development.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in HW/SW development projects following process-oriented methodologies (V-model).
  • Knowledge of electronics, communication buses, video interfaces, and embedded system architectures.
  • Experience in technical documentation writing and management.
  • Experience in regulated or certifiable sectors: aerospace, defense, railway, or automotive.
  • Experience in requirements management and traceability using systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Enterprise Architect).
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical activities.

Experience in certification environments and participation in complex system integration will also be valued.

Benefits & conditions

Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.

Flexible start and finish times, and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer.

Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support.

National and international mobility. Do you come from another country? We can offer you a relocation package.

Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation and discount on brands.

About the company

Are you looking for an innovative and well-established environment where you can continue growing professionally while working on high-impact technological projects? At GMV we are expanding our teams in the aerospace and defense sector to take on new highly complex critical systems projects.
