Job description
Working closely with the creative and project team, the UX/UI Designer (immersive) explores and designs how people will understand, navigate, and engage with interactive, large-scale experiences in the built environment.
This role helps define the user experience end-to-end, balancing clarity and usability with real-world constraints. The UX/UI Designer is hands-on, collaborative, and solution-oriented, translating experience intent and objectives into UX deliverables that the team can design, build, and deliver., * Partner with Creative Leads and project teams to define UX approaches for immersive, large-scale interactive experiences.
- Define multi-touchpoint experiences using journey maps, experience maps, and interaction flows.
- Create wireframes, diagrams, and low-fidelity prototypes in Figma to define navigation, screen structure, and interaction behavior.
- Design interaction models for varied inputs and modalities, including multi-touch, gestures, motion, sensors, XR/VR, and physical controllers.
- Think through real-world usability in space, including ergonomics, reach zones, dwell time, sightlines, accessibility, lighting, noise, and environmental constraints.
- Evaluate and improve designs using heuristic checks and rapid iteration, balancing usability with production realities.
- Collaborate with visual designers to ensure UX and UI work together and align with project requirements.
- Work closely with creative technologists and developers to ensure UX designs are feasible.
- Produce clear UX documentation, annotations, and handoff artifacts so teams can implement accurately.
- Participate in client and internal reviews, clearly articulating UX rationale and incorporating feedback through iteration.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireframing?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Product Design, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- 3-6 years of UX experience, ideally in interactive, experiential, or digital product environments with multiple touchpoints.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and artifacts, including journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models.
- Demonstrated ability to design for non-standard interfaces and form factors, including large screens, kiosks, installations, VR/XR, or physical-digital environments.
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, components, and documentation workflows.
- Proficiency with design tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Generative AI, and other tools to support UX deliverables and collaboration.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to break down complex interactions, anticipate edge cases, and iterate based on testing.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, able to iterate quickly.
- Problem-solver mindset, comfortable collaborating and working independently.
