Job description
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our EduQa Tech Team, where engineers operate as product engineers, owning problems end-to-end and shaping the future of seQura's education platform.
This role goes beyond traditional backend or frontend engineering. You'll work on the EduQa platform, the central product that empowers education institutions worldwide to offer students flexible payment options-either self-financed (PaaS) or supported by seQura.
Your mission will be to help evolve this platform into a scalable, extensible, and high-impact product that meets the unique needs of the education sector and prepares us for global expansion.
You'll be part of a highly autonomous team with a strong product mindset. Engineers define problems, validate hypotheses with data, make product decisions, and iterate quickly based on real user feedback. We also leverage AI as an enabler to accelerate delivery while focusing on product thinking and problem-solving.
About the EduQa team
Team mission Design and build the go-to platform to empower education institutions worldwide to offer students flexible payment options.
What we own
- End-to-end EduQa experience, ensuring quality across the entire platform.
- Expansion of platform capabilities to support new markets, currencies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance of existing features and foundations for future AI-driven improvements.
- Productization of EduQa knowledge into scalable solutions for global growth
How we work
- Team of 5 Product Engineers, 2 Product Managers, and 1 Product Designer.
- Strong cross-team collaboration to align EduQa-specific nuances with the broader seQura platform.
- Ownership mindset: engineers own problems end-to-end.
- Fast iteration with high autonomy, data-informed decisions, and active participation in discovery sessions
What challenges you'll be solving
- Own product problems end-to-end: from understanding user needs and defining hypotheses to validating solutions and delivering impact.
- Build and evolve core EduQa platform modules across the full stack with scalability and maintainability in mind.
- Validate assumptions and measure outcomes using data and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure platform impact.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and AI foundations to enable faster, higher-quality development.
- Participate in discovery sessions, spikes, and high-impact initiatives that move EduQa toward its global vision.
What to expect in the next 90 days
Month 1: You'll be onboarded to seQura and will focus on our vertical, eduQa. Understanding the business will be your focus, but we won't forget the tech side, so you'll have time to get up to speed with Ruby on Rails and React.
Month 2: At this point, you'll be ready to take ownership of some initiative (don't be afraid, the whole team will support you!). Nothing compares to the feeling of delivering value and owning the e2e cycle.
Month 3: Time flies! At this point, there will be no secrets for you at eduQa. You'll be ready to help product on discovery/framing initiatives, and you'll officially become part of our "shield" initiative (which is how we give support to our peers from other teams)
