Job description

This role is responsible for the governance, management, and effective use of data within the Hospitality Business Unit (HOS), supporting analytics and data monetization in line with strategic business priorities., The Senior Manager, leads and coordinates initiatives to ensure data is managed and used as a strategic business asset. The role connects business priorities with data and technology capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making and deliver measurable business value through data governance and analytics., 1. Data Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and execute the Data & Analytics strategy in collaboration with the Head of the Data & Analytics (D&A) Office, aligned with the Hospitality Business Unit vision and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for data governance and analytics capabilities
  • Prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes
  1. Data Governance
  • Define and implement data governance frameworks (roles, processes, and policies) across HOS functions (Commercial, Product, Operations, Engineering) in close alignment with the Amadeus Data Office (ADO) and Data & Technology Services (DAO/DTS)
  • Lead data quality management, metadata, and data catalog initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with data standards, privacy regulations, and security requirements, while assessing and piloting artificial intelligence (AI) and automation solutions to improve data stewardship efficiency
  1. Analytics & Insights Enablement
  • Enable and support adoption of self-service and advanced analytics use cases across HOS
  • Identify and scale high-impact analytics and AI use cases that improve operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Promote repeatable and sustainable analytics processes within the Business Unit
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor by clearly communicating the value of data initiatives to business and technology stakeholders
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the Hospitality Business Unit
  1. Data Foundations & Analytics Delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related initiatives within HOS
  • Ensure initiatives align with strategic goals and deliver tangible outcomes, identifying and helping resolve conflicts early through structured governance
  • Facilitate workshops and progress reviews with both business and information technology (IT) stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience; data or business specialization is valued
  • Significant experience (typically around 10 years) in data governance and data management roles, ideally within hospitality, travel, or technology environments
  • Proven experience defining data strategies and aligning data priorities with organizational objectives in complex, federated environments
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data management, analytics, and automation platforms (e.g., Collibra, Databricks, Snowflake, SAP BW/4HANA, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAP Analytics Cloud, Copilot Studio, Power Automate)
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is desirable
