Job description

We're looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to help ensure these developers are successful when using RevenueCat. You'd join forces with our growing, global developer advocate team spread across the US, Finland, and South Korea. We're specifically looking for someone with strong skills in producing written educational content targeted at iOS developers that is technical but engaging with the ability to make video versions of the same content. Your work will educate existing RevenueCat users, attract new search traffic, and position RevenueCat as the go-to resource when implementing in-app purchases across platforms.

What you'll be responsible for

Your primary responsibility will be creating high-quality, developer-focused content focused on monetization and in-app purchases. This includes both scenarios where developers use RevenueCat to solve for these use cases, as well as alternative implementations.

Examples of the type of content we'd expect you to produce include blogpost with titles like:

  • "Getting started: Monetize your Swift app with RevenueCat"
  • "Architectural patterns for building a high performance onboarding flow with SwiftUI"
  • "How to build an affiliate campaign to scale your mobile app with RevenueCat"
  • "Use the RevenueCat MCP with Xcode to rapidly set up in-app purchases in your iOS app"

In addition to writing, you'll:

  • Speak at conferences, webinars, and other events to share insights and represent RevenueCat
  • Record videos versions of your written content and collaborate on livestreams to help developers implement and succeed with RevenueCat
  • Organize and judge hackathons and app related competitions
  • Work cross-functionally to develop resources that support developers using RevenueCat, * Collaborate with our Dev Advocate lead on a joint content strategy playing to both your strengths
  • Independently research and develop content to fill current gaps in our documentation and other educational efforts
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats (e.g., blog posts into videos) to expand our reach
  • Speak with customers and help them understand how they can use RevenueCat to achieve their monetization goals., * Become a fixture across the developer community, having become synonymous with RevenueCat and in-app monetization for Android, Flutter, and/or React Native
  • Found new and novel ways to help us engage developers (think Shipaton, App Store Rejection socks, and similar initiatives)

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS development?, * You're deeply experienced in app development using Swift, particularly subscription apps, whether as part of a team or through indie projects (preferably both).

  • You have extensive experience creating written or video content aimed at educating developers on technical topics.
  • You're passionate about teaching and helping developers thrive.
  • You are comfortable performing for an audience live, whether on stage at a conference or virtually through a livestream.
  • You are creative and willing to embrace a novel idea and execute it at a high quality.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive equity in a fast-growing, Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator
  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options
  • Fully remote and flexible work environment
  • 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually for mental, physical, and emotional recharge
  • $2,000 USD for workspace setup and $1,000 USD annual stipend for continuous learning

About the company

RevenueCat removes the headaches of building and scaling in-app subscriptions. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile: we're in >40% of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $10B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo dev in Brazil to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue. We're a remote-first crew of 120+, spread across 25 countries, and guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. If you want your work to touch hundreds of millions of end-users (and help the developers behind them get paid), you'll fit right in.
