Job description
The Role: As an IT Field Engineer, you will provide onsite technical support, installations, and infrastructure services to our diverse client base. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a professional customer-facing approach. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations and support services across IT systems, networking, structured cabling, CCTV, and door access systems., * Provide onsite IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Install and configure network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Deploy and manage Ubiquiti wireless and switching solutions
- Install and configure WatchGuard firewalls
- Carry out structured cabling installations (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a)
- Install and terminate fibre optic cabling
- Install and configure CCTV systems
- Install and commission door access control systems
- Perform network cabinet builds and patching
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and complies with relevant regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and job records
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, * Proven experience in an IT Field Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Ubiquiti, Cisco networking products
- Experience configuring WatchGuard firewalls
- Structured cabling installation and termination experience
- Fibre optic cabling installation and testing
- Experience installing CCTV systems
- Experience installing door access control systems
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Full UK driving licence
