Job description

The Role: As an IT Field Engineer, you will provide onsite technical support, installations, and infrastructure services to our diverse client base. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a professional customer-facing approach. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations and support services across IT systems, networking, structured cabling, CCTV, and door access systems., * Provide onsite IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

  • Install and configure network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Deploy and manage Ubiquiti wireless and switching solutions
  • Install and configure WatchGuard firewalls
  • Carry out structured cabling installations (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a)
  • Install and terminate fibre optic cabling
  • Install and configure CCTV systems
  • Install and commission door access control systems
  • Perform network cabinet builds and patching
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards and complies with relevant regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and job records
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, * Proven experience in an IT Field Engineer or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of Ubiquiti, Cisco networking products
  • Experience configuring WatchGuard firewalls
  • Structured cabling installation and termination experience
  • Fibre optic cabling installation and testing
  • Experience installing CCTV systems
  • Experience installing door access control systems
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Full UK driving licence
