Job description
The role will focus on the migration of SAS reports to new tools, using SQL, Snowflake, Tableau and Python., * Be heavily involved in the migration of all existing SAS reports into modern tools, designing automated, future-proof replacements in Snowflake, Python and Tableau.
- Turn data into clear insights and compelling stories for the business.
- Build and maintain dashboards, web apps, and Excel-based reports that support fast, accurate decision-making.
- Own and run the current manual reporting process, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance while we transition to automated solutions.
- Write, debug and optimise SQL and Python code in Snowflake to extract, transform, validate, and blend large datasets.
- Run Snowflake processes when required and publish high-quality outputs into Tableau dashboards.
- Modernise, streamline, and enhance existing reporting processes and data flows as part of the wider data platform evolution.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers to design and deliver the future state of our reporting and data architecture.
The skills needed
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience using SQL, Python. Tableau and Snowflake.
- Experience migrating reporting from SAS to modern tools.
- Tableau skills with a track record of creating intuitive, high-impact dashboards.
- Proven ability to build, optimise and maintain data pipelines and transformations.
- Confidence working with large datasets and blending data from multiple sources.
- Ability to interpret data, understand the story behind it and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong business analysis capability, able to map processes, gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience working with data engineers and technical teams on end-to-end delivery.
- Experience within Retail banking is desirable.
