Job description

Are you a multi-skilled DBA covering Oracle, Sql Server with a willingness to learn further technologies such as but not restricted to MySql, Postgres, Mongodb, Neo4J then we have an in-house role available within an existing team with a mixture of BAU and project work. Role also covers middleware such as Tomcat, ORDS, Weblogic etc., * Installation and Administration of Oracle and Sql Server databases and Middleware across multiple operating systems such as Red Hat Linux, HP-UX, AIX, Windows.

  • Participate in project teams from initial design through to completion to achieve required business outputs.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert in their chosen field, provide professional advice and make recommendations to support business queries and requirements definition for both on-prem and Azure hosted environments.
  • Influence and negotiate with key project stakeholders, using data and analysis to support reasoning.
  • Performance database monitoring and tuning.
  • Ability to attend site (multiple locations).

Requirements

Do you have experience in Weblogic?, * A mix of database knowledge / experience with demonstrable experience in Oracle and MS Sql Server.

  • Proficient in the installation, configuration of Middleware components in windows and Linux environments e.g. Apache / Tomcat, Weblogic, ORDS, APEX.
  • Willingness to learn other database systems including but not limited to MySql, Mongodb, Postgres.

The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
