Job description

Hello Are you a Network Engineer passionate about video delivery, streaming platforms, and high-performance network architectures? At AgileTV, we are looking for a Video Network Engineer to join our highly skilled Engineering & Operations team. You will collaborate with top-level professionals-Platform Engineers, DevOps, Product Engineers, and Operations-in a dynamic and international environment.

Location

  • Remote from anywhere in Spain
  • Ideally based in Madrid for occasional on-site collaboration
  • Optional access to offices in Madrid or Bilbao

What You'll Do

As part of the Engineering team, you will participate in the design, architecture, and implementation of AgileTV's core platform for video management, transport, and distribution-ensuring a scalable, reliable, and future-ready Next Generation TV service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance network architectures.
  • Integrate, homologate, and certify state-of-the-art video technologies.
  • Architect and evolve the video network platform, including cloud and Internet-oriented TV services.
  • Ensure robust, consistent, and resilient designs aligned with industry best practices.
  • Lead technology benchmarking and collaborate on strategic platform decisions.
  • Support product engineering and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new solutions.
  • Produce accurate and clear technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in networking technologies: switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing.
  • Strong knowledge of multicast protocols: IGMP, PIM, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, MSDP.
  • Expertise in switching & routing: 802.1Q, Spanning Tree, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and hybrid platform integration.
  • Understanding of encoding profiles, bitrate ladders, video compression (preferably IPTV or streaming).
  • Knowledge of video codecs and multimedia container formats.
  • Experience with video transcoding and packaging services.
  • Knowledge of DRM technologies: FairPlay, PlayReady, Widevine.
  • Experience with adaptive bitrate protocols (DASH, HLS).
  • Understanding of CDN video integration.
  • High level of English (B2+).
  • Native/fluent Spanish.
