Job description

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and cloud roadmaps, including transition states for migrating Legacy systems, adopting new cloud services, and decommissioning obsolete platforms.

  • Define and maintain cloud reference architectures, ensuring consistency, reusability, and alignment with organisational standards.

  • Act as design authority for hosting, networking, identity, and platform services, providing guidance and assurance across projects and workstreams.

  • Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and DevOps practices to deliver consistent, repeatable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and delivering cloud and infrastructure solutions (Azure essential) within complex organisations.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, including landing zones, governance models, cost optimisation, and hybrid-cloud approaches.
  • Strong expertise in networking, hosting, and identity services, including Active Directory, identity federation, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools, such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and their role in modern infrastructure.
