Job description
We are seeking a visionary Director of Data Architecture to lead the transformation of our scattered data ecosystem into a modern, scalable, and secure platform. This role will shape the future-state architecture to enable advanced analytics, AI, and seamless data access across the business, * Define and execute a strategic data architecture roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and analytics warehouses.
- Modernize legacy systems to ensure scalability, interoperability, and performance.
- Champion best practices in data modelling and semantic layer design
- Simplify access to data and setup a data products architecture to fulfil BI & Analytics teams needs.
- Promote the DIKW framework to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support the rollout of data governance and quality tooling.
- Enable AI/ML readiness through scalable infrastructure and clean data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data science teams to support model deployment and MLOps.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems for data reliability and performance.
- Deliver a clear "TO BE" architecture recommendation and roadmap with actionable milestones.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Scala?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Minimum 15 years in data architecture, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Databricks, Power Platform, and Redshift; Snowflake is a plus.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, PowerQuery (M), and ideally Scala or PySpark.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Certified in AWS (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) and CDMP; Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
