WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team, you will support the preparation, validation, and operation of mission-critical satellite ground systems within a customer's Satellite Control Centre, contributing to both system setup and routine operations in an international environment.
Your main tasks will be:
Training & Knowledge Acquisition:
- Multi-month training with GMV experts to learn the GMV Mission Control Suite. Follow-up onboarding at customer site to learn infrastructure, workflows, and requirements and getting the certification.
️Satellite Control Centre Setup & Deployment:
- Support setup and commissioning of a new Satellite Control Centre with GMV and customer teams with focus on ground operations.
- Assist with installation, configuration and validation of the GMV Mission Control Suite.
- Development and delivery of ground operational products. Participate in system-level tests, simulations and readiness reviews.
Ground Segment Operation:
- Develop/maintain procedures, scripts, dashboards and mission databases.
- Monitor ground systems and resolve anomalies.
- Support operational planning, reporting and software validation.
- Occasional travel between control centers (travel allowance provided).
Documentation, Training & Knowledge Transfer:
- Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
- Deliver training to new operators.
- Support structured handover processes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, We are looking for experts in Aerospace-, Telecommunication-, Electrical- or Computer Engineering with background and interest in Ground Operations Engineering.
If this position sounds like a perfect fit for you, here's what we're looking for in detail:
- Experience in Ground Operations Engineering role in a satellite control center (preferred) or in mission-critical systems or operational environments.
- Strong Linux, networking and system integration skills.
- Scripting (Python/Bash) and troubleshooting abilities.
- English (full proficiency) and German (basic/intermediate but willingness to get proficiency).
- Ability to work onsite in secure environment near Munich and be on-call for critical periods.
- Ability to travel occasionally between different customer sites.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and coordination skills.
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
- GMV Mission Control Suite or similar tools.
- Satellite Operations or Control Centers.
