The current calibration process for Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Diagnostics is encountering many challenges, ranging from maximizing driver comfort to minimizing emissions and satisfying regulatory requirements. With every iteration, the complexity of the DAF engine is increasing, making it a challenge to handle all data efficiently and properly calibrate the engine. To tackle this problem, a concept of a general optimization engine diagnostic calibration tool is created, which will become the Swiss Army knife for diagnostic calibration in the future. As this tool is in its early stages of development, it presents an interesting opportunity to make a significant impact on how engineers perform their work.
